Our Team

  • Shannon Whitehead
    President/Owner

    READ BIO

Ask anyone who has met her and they'll say she is kindest, most level headed person they've ever met. Shannon has played a critical role in a number of successful business ventures over the course of her life and, like Jerry, saw Highland Canyon as an opportunity to combine her career with not only her own lifestyle, but her family's lifestyle as well. Shannon's love for the outdoors and adventure can be seen through her past experiences, as well as the adventures of her children and grandchildren.

  • John Ianson
    Salesman/Engineer

    READ BIO

With over 45 years of experience in tool and die, John has developed a reputation for perfection. Although his standards for precision are seen as unattainable by some, Highland Canyon saw John as the ideal person to be in charge of our machining process. Like the rest of the team, John found Highland Canyon to be a bridge between work and play. John grew up small game hunting and spent many years skeet shooting. Today, he enjoys competing in Precision Rifle Series and Extreme Long Range matches and even won the Gas Gun Division in the Northwest region in 2020.

  • Clint Whitehead
    Relations Specialist

    READ BIO

Clint has never been much of a range guy, but when he is in the wilderness tracking big game with a rifle on his back, he is right at home. His work days are often consumed by day dreams of his next hunt or outdoor adventure. Growing up around a family owned manufacturing business, Clint has always appreciated genuine craftsmanship, which is what drew him to the Highland Canyon team. Highland Canyon has been a great way for Clint to merge his career with his passion for family, friends, and the Idaho backcountry.

  • Coby Richardson
    Director of Marketing

    READ BIO

Although now an avid bow hunter, Coby was raised hunting the mountains and woods with a rifle. Life outdoors has and always will be a priority for him. Whether it be hunting, fishing, shooting, whatever it may be, he's up for the adventure. Coby joined the Highland Canyon team with the goal to consolidate and present our stories, aspirations, and passion for shooting and hunting in a way that resonates with each and every one of our customers on a personal level.

  • Gustavo Guillen
    Mechanical Design Engineer

    READ BIO

Have a question about guns? Ask Gustavo. It was hard not to ignore Gustavo's obsession with firearms and competitive shooting, and being an experienced mechanical design engineer, he was an obvious choice for Highland Canyon's first employee. He's been involved with a variety of shooting competitions since 2017, including Precision Rifle Series, Long Range Tactical Rifle, Extreme Long Range, 2 Gun, and 3 Gun. You can often times find his name in the upper portion of the leaderboards, but he'll make sure to tell you he's just in it for the fun. When he's not at the range, Gustavo enjoys all the wonders Idaho has to offer on his mountain bike, or probably eating a box of donuts.
